HEIRLOOM FRUITS
Andy's Orchard is a small fruit grower committed to growing and marketing fruits of superior quality. Heirloom fruits are still found at some fruit stands, farmers' markets and specialty markets. These venerated fruits from the past have distinctive, old-fashioned flavors but are rapidly disappearing from many markets and have become increasingly harder to find elsewhere. Such is the case with the 'Blenheim' apricot, the quintessential apricot with its rich, aromatic flavor but delicate texture. It is being replaced by very firm, mass-produced fruit with visual appeal but often without much flavor. Other old favorites that we continue to grow are 'Santa Rosa' plums and 'Elberta' peaches.

OUR FRUIT
Andy’s Orchard fruit is different from fruit that might be purchased from a supermarket or even a farmer’s market. The fruit we grow and sell is specially selected---an eclectic collection of the finest heirloom varieties, the best of the older commercial sorts and the newest hybrids---all selected for their flavor, grown in an ideal climate and harvested with great care---picking only fruit at its peak in ripeness and eating quality. Andy has chosen the finest of the old varieties like ‘Blenheim’ apricots and ‘Black Tartarian’ cherries. He also is involved in the California Rare Fruit Growers who are dedicated to developing new varieties possessing unique flavors and great eating qualities. Through these efforts, Andy’s Orchard is able to offer many rare and exclusive varieties that are very difficult to find elsewhere. SUBSCRIPTION ORDERS
Our subscription allows you to receive weekly deliveries of our award-winning, tree-ripened fruit during the summer months. Trust our staff to select the best variety or varieties from each week for shipping. (If a specific variety is desired, and it is not on the above lists, check the special order box.) The following general categories of fruits are available from early to late season: cherries, apricots, peaches, nectarines, plums and pluots. (Please note: With a subscription specific varieties are not guaranteed. Call to set-up. (408) 782-7600
DELIVERY. Orders are shipped on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (sometimes Thursday) during every week to avoid delivery delays during the weekends. The deadline for ordering a shipment each week is 10 AM every Wednesday.
